Historic & Modern Rally Car Preparation

CarrPrep is a specialist rally car builder and fabrication workshop based in Malton, North Yorkshire. The skilled team at CarrPrep specialise in modern and historic rally cars with the backbone of the business being the iconic Mk1 and Mk2 Ford Escorts from the early 1970's and 1980's.

The business is headed and run by Nick Carr who is an experienced engineer and fabricator as well as being an accomplished rally driver.

Nick has an impressive portfolio of projects over the last 10 years and has been involved with many ground up restoration and rebuilds of period works Ford Escorts using traditional Boreham methods that have seen vehicles restored from bodyshell to full works specification cars.

CarrPrep’s workshop is well suited to fabrication with sheet metal folding and fabrication.
- Mig and Tig welding in both steel and aluminium.
- Brazing for the period added strength on certain applications.

CarrPrep also has its own body shell jig to ensure that the bodyshell fabrication is performed using a fixed platform to ensure correct alignment.
